SoftServe accelerates Gen AI adoption: over 100 projects completed in 2024 alone, most of them AI assistants

by

SoftServe, one of the leading IT consulting and digital services providers, implemented over 100 generative AI-based projects last year within its Gen AI Lab—a dedicated initiative for exploring and deploying GenAI solutions. The company now presents some of the most significant developments in this field.

“In 2025, generative AI solutions will become the standard for optimizing business processes, emphasizing personalization, autonomy, and multi-agent system integration. Companies will invest in AI capable of analyzing complex data in real time, automating decision-making, and enabling natural interactions, fundamentally transforming the relationship between humans and technology,” says Nataliya Polyakovska, Principal AI Consultant at SoftServe.

SoftServeGenerative AI has moved beyond the experimental phase, proving its real efficiency in automating and optimizing business processes. In 2024 alone, SoftServe’s team completed over 100 generative AI projects, most of which involved AI assistants designed to optimize business processes. These innovative solutions are already integrated across various industries, transforming how companies interact with customers and manage internal operations.

Personal Learning Assistant

SoftServe developed an advanced educational platform for a school district in the U.S., integrating multiple institutions into a unified system serving 40,000 users, including teachers, administrators, students, and parents. The solution optimizes educational processes through AI assistants that automate personalized lesson planning, provide tailored recommendations to improve student performance, and facilitate access to relevant educational resources.

Using a Google Cloud AI model, SoftServe implemented advanced customizations to ensure the security and efficiency of processing a large volume of educational data. The AI assistants analyze essays, grades, and teacher feedback in real time, offering scalable and efficient personalized learning. This solution supports the digital transformation of education, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing the learning experience.

Industrial Assistant

The company developed an advanced AI solution for a German automotive company that operates multiple factories and warehouses. The platform integrates and structures large volumes of data, including IoT equipment information, production plans, and operational requirements, facilitating analysis and management. The assistant optimizes processes by consolidating data into a unified platform and predicting equipment failures, increasing efficiency by 10% and reducing production defects by 56%. Additionally, the solution accelerates new employee onboarding by 50% through an intelligent training system.

For this implementation, SoftServe created a digital twin of the production facility using NVIDIA Omniverse and developed a multi-agent AI system, where each agent performs a specific function. The expert team structured and optimized large data volumes to ensure interoperability and production process efficiency, reinforcing digital transformation in the industry.

Gen AI Shopping Assistant

SoftServe has developed an AI shopping assistant, an innovative solution tailored to the needs of five fashion industry clients. This assistant enhances user experience with hyper-personalized recommendations and virtual try-ons, facilitating the selection and purchase process. Available as a chatbot on online retail websites or a mobile app for clothing, footwear, and accessories brands, the Gen AI shopping assistant helps users find the right products based on their preferences and context. For example, it can suggest suitable hiking shoes or allow virtual testing of colors and styles.

The solution was designed to increase visitor-to-customer conversion rates and boost online sales, providing retailers with a competitive advantage through advanced shopping experience personalization.

Digital Concierge

SoftServe developed approximately 20 AI concierge assistants initially designed for events, exhibitions, and business conferences but later expanded for use in hotels, museums, art galleries, corporate offices, and educational institutions. These assistants provide personalized information and seamless interactions, enhancing the user experience.

A notable example is an implementation for a global IT manufacturer that requested virtual concierges for international exhibitions. Often presented as interactive digital avatars, the solution was designed to showcase the company’s technological innovation, attract visitors to the booth, support the sales team, and offer an engaging interactive experience.

Additionally, the company ensures full customization of the AI assistant, including data structure, response optimization, and visual interface adaptation. For example, for a client in the United Arab Emirates, a concierge AI was developed as a female avatar dressed according to Muslim cultural norms. Personalization included voice tone, communication style, and the integration of cultural and market-specific elements, providing an authentic and relevant user experience.

AI Video Monitoring Assistant

Another AI assistant developed by SoftServe is the AI video monitoring assistant, integrated with surveillance systems for security incident detection, industrial activity monitoring, and private property protection. The solution enables the rapid identification of dangerous situations, real-time alerting, and advanced searches based on date, time, keywords, or specific scenarios.

This technology was implemented for a U.S. oil company, trained to predict security risks by analyzing data, images, and behavioral patterns. The assistant optimizes surveillance processes, reducing reaction times and improving risk management.
