LIFE IS HARD, a leader in digitalization solutions for businesses, announces the winning of a new European funding project, entitled “Work is cool – Students prepared for competition and performance”, worth a total of approximately 1 million euros. The project is co-financed by 5% by the company, demonstrating its commitment to the education of young generations.
The project aims to support a number of 250 students, master’s and doctoral students from less developed regions of Romania, up to 35 years old, by providing them with access to relevant internships and professional development opportunities, over a period of two years. The objective of the program is to facilitate their insertion in the labor market and easy adaptation to both its dynamics and the rapid evolution of technologies and work processes. The activities will start in January 2025 and will be coordinated by a team of dedicated experts.
In the next stage of the project, the company will launch an online portal dedicated to the program, where students will be able to obtain detailed information and register. Until the page is implemented, those interested can contact the team at work@lifeishard.ro, where they will receive support from LIFE IS HARD representatives.
The strategic role of the project in the LIFE IS HARD vision
This project is part of the Sales Academy initiative, a strategic program of LIFE IS HARD, which aims to create a new generation of professionals in technology sales. Through this program, the company aims to support young people from the period of university studies, helping them develop the necessary skills for a successful career in the field.
The project aims to strengthen partnerships and close collaboration between the academic system and the private sector, ensuring through all planned actions that the study programs are relevant and effective for the current needs of society and the economy.
“Through this project, we want to prepare the next generation of technology sellers, thus contributing to building a complete ecosystem around technology – from production and promotion, to sales. Our objective is to evolve and continuously strengthen our position as a key partner in the digitalization of companies and public authorities in Romania. Training young people in the technology industry, in sales skills, has a direct impact, in the medium and long term, on increasing the degree of digitalization”, said Cătălin Chiș, CEO of LIFE IS HARD.
The value of education and innovation
The project is carried out within the framework of the Education and Employment Program, managed by the Ministry of Investments and European Projects. LIFE IS HARD assumes the responsibility of providing support to students through relevant internships, while developing critical skills for success in technology sales.
“Participation in work-based learning programs is an essential component of the students’ learning process. This project, organized by LIFE IS HARD, is the first in a series through which the company aims to support companies in Romania, from the perspective of a technology expert. It offers students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the study program in a real context, thus contributing to their professional and personal development. The next direction of the Sales Academy will focus on the insurance industry, underlining our commitment to education and innovation – the foundations of the future. This project is not only an investment in students, but also an important step in our mission to support technological progress and competitiveness on the labor market,” added Cătălin Chiș.
Social and economic impact of the project
In addition to the benefits brought to students, the project contributes to the European objectives of reducing skills gaps and supporting the transition to a digital economy. LIFE IS HARD thus reiterates its commitment to creating value in the community and promoting sustainable development.
