Trendyol, one of the leading international e-commerce marketplaces, is launching its first Black Friday campaign in Romania. The event will take place between November 5 and 10, 2024, and customers in Romania will be able to benefit from discounts of up to 80% on hundreds of thousands of products, covering all categories on the platform.
The Romanian campaign in early November marks the debut Black Friday for Trendyol in the region, being also its biggest in CEE, and will include significant discounts on a wide range of products, such as women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, shoes, accessories, beauty and home products. This will be followed by a second campaign, synchronized with International Black Friday, between November 26 and December 1.
“We have been present on the Romanian market for less than a year and we already noticed a high level of interest in our products. That’s why we are extremely excited to reach out to all consumers here with a compelling and engaging Black Friday experience, in what is generally considered the most important shopping period of the year. This is our first Black Friday campaign in Romania and we have made every effort to ensure an offer that meets all needs and expectations, covering the entire categories of products available on Trendyol”, says Irem Yılandil, Head of International Expansion, Trendyol Group.
Trendyol’s Black Friday campaign will include a diverse selection of well-known brands, both Turkish and international. Well-known Turkish brands include Koton, Penti, DeFacto, LC Waikiki, alongside global brands such as Adidas, Puma, U.S. Polo Assn., New Balance, Tommy Hilfiger, Converse or Calvin Klein, but also the company’s successful own brand, Trendyol Collection.
In addition, for first-time in-app users, the company is also offering a 30% off promo code JUSTAPP30, which they can use exclusively on the Trendyol mobile app. The voucher is one time only, applicable on a selection of products, and the maximum reduction amounts up to 150 lei.
The promotion of the event will be supported by an extensive marketing campaign, including outdoor exposure, radio, TV, digital and social media, along with several special projects, such as a first collaboration with artist Andreea Balan as the face of the campaign. This partnership is also concretized by a selection of products recommended by the local star exclusively for the Trendyol customers.
Trendyol launched its Romanian-language app in January 2024, which has seen the fastest growth in the CEE markets, reaching 700,000 customers in Romania by October. Since its local market launch, Trendyol has sold more than 5 million items locally.
