Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) is the benchmark international event for cities and smart urban solutions and this year edition is organized within the Gran Via Venue exhibition centre in Barcelona, Spain, between November 15th and 17th, under the “People inspired cities” main theme.
Three Romanian companies are taking for the first time part at the event: Maxtui & Associates, Silva Sistems and Asseco SEE (ASEE). They are supported by Allied Telesis, their technological partner, and by Open Communities, an NGO. Within the exhibition area (Hall 2, Stand A161) they will show, together, mobility and urban safety solutions, as well as some of the Smart City projects already installed in Romania, thus proofing that high technology can reach beyond proof-of-concept and can be translated into solutions for solving daily problems of an urban centre.
Currently at its 11th edition, Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) will host more than 1000 exhibitors and 400 international experts. The event will focus on affordable tools and strategies that local authorities, organizations and citizens can use to address the many challenges involved in urban transformation and to ensure a better future for cities and future generations.
„We expect more than 24,000 visitors in November. Thus we may reach figures before the COVID 19 pandemic, a fact that underlies the importance of cities for the humankind and the planet future and the fact that Smart City Expo is, indeed, the reference world event for the large urban transformation ecosystem, now more than ever”, said Ugo Valenti, Smart City Expo World Congress manager.
The SCEWC 2022 program will be structured according to eight main themes: Generic Technologies, Energy and Environment, Governance, Urban Infrastructure and Buildings, Life Conditions and Social Integration, Mobility, Urban Safety and Security.
